where we will also be having a live operatic performance by Mohini Chatlani

Emma Elliott was born in England, but has worked and studied extensively in Italy for the last 6 years, she studied for three years at the Florentine Atelier "Charles Cecil" after which she was invited to teach younger students. Here She was influenced by the work of the Italian masters, which shows especially in her portraiture, her close study of proportion, character of the sitter and use of tonal value all helps to add depth to her work, while in her landscapes Emma reflects upon the French impressionists, and their clever play on light which she, particularly while out landscaping is captivated by how light shifts, changes, and ultimately affects the mood of a landscape.

However Emma has developed her own precocious style while continuing to use amongst other methods the renaissance technique 'sight size'. Working from life she embraces all she has learnt which is earning her a loyal following from art lovers who have seen her work.

Recently she has been honing her sculpting skills and will have on exhibition several Bronze works including life size busts and a newly completed work commissioned specifically for this exhibition.
